I wish I had the money to upgrade to it. $500 is way too much for me right now.
i'll stick with my two 6950s thanks. they're still selling for almost the same price i paid a year later. :D

i have always been an ATI guy...they fell behind for a few years but now have come back with great cards for a somewhat cheaper price...personal preference

power for price is better most of the time.
i always used to be a NV fan but after the 48xx series came out and ATI showed they learned to make driver correctly it didnt make sense to pay the NV price premium. plus a small part of me still likes to pretend that ATI is still a Canadian company :)
the only reason now i would buy nVidia now is if i wanted to get into 3D...

at the time i bought mine it was performance. especially price to performance ratio. most nvidia is overpriced imo.

I love the specs on that card. But, I'm an Nvidia fan and wouldnt go ATI. That all stems from issues i had with ATI cards in my Dell computers back in the day. Personally, I wouldn't bad mouth ATI or AMD as they are just as good or if not better when compared to similar Nvidia or Intel products. It's just a matter of preference.

Personally I always buy nVidia, yea it's usually about 20%-ish more expensive but you get what you pay for. I have had ATI's in the past and always had endless driver problems and they don't last as long. I've always been a person that would go for quality over quantity, the way I see it, your spending a bunch of money on a new PC anyway, might as well pay extra for quality parts.
I do agree that now days ATI and nV are about the same though and as long as the card is ASUS or MSI who cares.
