ok so as most of u know i just got a new comp.. but ppl seem to think im lying when i say i get average 250-300 FPS on a full server... on maps like nuke i drop to around 150 but most other maps i sit around 250ish... anyways i joined server this morning while it was empty to test out some video settings and shit and i changed my fps_max from the default 300 to 1000 to see what would happen lol i had to SS these i thought it was funny.. empty server though if that makes any difference...

Thanks to Panda for filling me in on the fps_max command! i will say though i dont feel much difference with 300FPS and 60FPS lol think its a bit over rated lol


PS: sry for the giant pics... couldnt figure out how to make it so they look small and u have to click on em.. can anyone help me out with that?? i just used the img button on the toolbar below??

It's easy, don't use the IMG function. Just use the attach function and attach the pics! its below the buttons! click browse and yeah

the only thing you will notice is the lag studder during heavy firer fights when you were playing at 60 and watching it drop than you would at 300 and dropping.

if you are getting 60fps lets say on the map outlaws (since everyone has be bitching recently about bad fps on the map) when you are getting 60 fps if you go where everyone is at and there all shooting at each other you fps is going to drop and you might see your screen skip a little. now if your getting a constant 300 and you go into a heavy fire fight the your fps is going to drop but not as bad before. if you survive that fire fight your fps will go back up.

ok its like this, i don't excatly where you live but i'm going to take Atlanta, Ga for example. if i was to try to go thru downtown ATL on interstate 85 at 5 pm it is going to be bumper to bumper traffic and i ain't moving a inch until about 7 pm. now if i go thru there around 3 am in the morin then my ass is going to fly right thru there with in 5 mins.

yeah panda, the traffic example is quite accurate. and yes, need to update my comp so i can get better fps.
